Fumble Mumble Mom

About Me

First I want to say thank you for visiting Fumble Mumble Mom!

I’m a 33 year old first time mom. I live in the Midwest so I’m no stranger to the beauty, and also the inconvenience, of snow. Am I right? I was born, raised and still live in a town with a population of about 51,000 people. I definitely wouldn’t consider myself to be a big city girl.

I was recently able to become a stay at home mom in September of 2021 when my daughter was about 14 months old. I was about 15 weeks pregnant when COVID-19 struck the United States and our state went into quarantine for the first time. I only mention it because the pandemic has shaped me as a mother and the loneliness that is often associated with being a stay at home mom has been amplified due to these unusual and uncertain circumstances. It’s a big reason why I’m here.

I am looking for an outlet. I’m looking for community, comradery, and connection with my peers. I’m hoping to be a resource and honest voice. If even just one sentence in an article resonates with another mom or helps her feel she’s not alone or helps her feel confident in herself then I could feel proud of the work I’ve put into this page.

I’m no expert. Not in writing and definitely not in motherhood.

Through every step of motherhood I’ve fumbled my way through, desperately hoping I’m doing my best. A cycle of worry, research, perseverance, and confidence; oftentimes landing right back at the beginning again when a new milestone hits.

I hope you’ll continue to check in with me on this beautiful whirlwind journey. Feel free to reach out, you can find out how on my contact page.
